We hope you had a safe and relaxing winter break! As the semester is now underway PEER has been up to a lot this past week and has much more in store throughout the rest of the semester. PEER kicked off the first week of class with an amazing visit to Madison Correctional Facility. Our learning community members engaged in conversations about the impact of AI and how it could affect our future. We discussed the difference between AI in movies, like “Ultron” or “The Terminator”, and how AI is actually used in society. Members also presented feasible solutions to potential problems with AI. We are looking forward to future learning community sessions and can’t wait to continue discussing topics that our members are passionate about!
With 3 inside meetings in row, PEER’s February schedule is packed, but in March we will return with our regularly schedule general body meetings. We are working on creating interactive and engaging meetings that welcome both learning community members and students outside the community.
Below is the tentative schedule for our general body meetings this semester:
March 5th
April 2nd
April 16th
Each meeting is held from 5:30-6:30 PM in the Flag Room in the Ohio Union.
