David Adams (he/him/his) has taught in the English and Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies programs on Ohio State's Lima campus for 25 years. He has helped increase the diversity of curricular offerings on campus by offering courses ranging from postcolonial literature to queer studies, British modernism, and literature of the American frontier.
He is the author of Colonial Odysseys: Empire and Epic in the Modernist Novel, and he has authored articles on and translated essays by Hans Blumenberg. Currently he is exploring resistance to the compulsion to be "normal" as a concern common to queer studies and disability studies.
